The students at Mark Twain Elementary got the treat of seeing a US Coast Guard helicopter land by the playground. Conner Stockton with the USCG brought his crew showing what a career in the USCG can entail plus he got to visit his kids, Isaac and Shaylee, who are MTE students.
Congratulations to Alvin HS alum Josh Erwin, Class of 2012, on his awesome accomplishment as Artemis I Commander for NASA!
The Artemis I mission took flight early this morning. The mission is to send an un-crewed spacecraft around the moon to pave the way for NASA to return astronauts to the lunar surface.

Planning for the future takes time, and this week, administrators, students, and community members are spending time working on the district's strategic plan!
The strategic plan will help AISD determine the district's goals and create a map to achieve them.
