If your child is entering Kindergarten next year and you are interested in them being a part of the district's Two Way - Dual Language Program, please join us for an information meeting in April!
The Two Way - Dual Language Program is offered in grades Kindergarten to 5th is for non-native Spanish speakers and native Spanish speakers. The goal is that each group becomes fluent in both languages English and Spanish.
We will host a Virtual Meeting on Monday, April 13 from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Please go to bit.ly/alvinDL
There will be an in-person meeting on Wednesday, April 15 from 6-7 p.m. at that school that corresponds to your child's home campus. Please see flyer for more details.

Districts across Texas may submit between three and seven pieces based on enrollment, and two of our seven entries were chosen by the Governor’s wife for this prestigious honor. Congratulations to Layla Johnson of Manvel High School for her piece, “Do You Believe in Magic?” and Patricia Morales of Shadow Creek High School for “Creation of Imagination.”

Reminder, it's a longgg weekend!
There is no school on Friday, February 13 for a District Professional Learning Day and Monday, February 16 is a student/staff holiday in honor of Presidents' Day.

Matthew Johnston, a 5th grader at Meridiana Elementary, secured the title by correctly spelling the word “archetype.”Liz Villegas, a 5th grader from York Elementary, earned the runner-up spot.
Matthew will go on to represent Alvin ISD at the 2026 Scripps Regional Spelling Bee on March 28, 2026.
