This evening, the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees & the Alvin Community College Board of Regents met to discuss the impact of House Bill 8 on Dual Enrollment as well as current and future endeavors between Alvin ISD and ACC. We can’t wait to continue and strengthen this amazing partnership.
Alvin ISD is currently hiring crossing guards to help us keep students safe as they come to school in the morning and head home in the afternoon!

The Alvin ISD Board appointed Gabe Garza to replace Vivian Scheibel for position 7 on the Alvin ISD School Board. Mrs. Scheibel resigned as she will be moving out of district. Mr. Garza has served the community in many capacities and will be a tremendous asset to the Board.
‼️ 🚌 ‼️It’s the start of a new year with new bus routes, bus riders, and road closures. Please be patient as the drivers and students get used to their stops. Expect the buses to be a few minutes late over the next few days as everyone learns. Thank you for your patience. 🚌 🚗

This evening, board member Vivian Scheibel resigned from the board after 9 years of service to the staff and students of Alvin ISD. Mrs. Scheibel, you will be greatly missed and Alvin ISD thanks you for your years of dedication!

The event is free and open to the public! It will include light refreshments, a dedication ceremony with student performances, and tours of the building.
