Two Shadow Creek football coaching staff members were surprised today with well-deserved recognition for the impact they're making on their student-athletes!
Assistant Coach Rene Glapion was named this week’s Houston Texas Coach of the Week presented by Houston Methodist! The award recognizes coaches making a lasting impact on the lives of student-athletes and comes with a $2,500 check from the Texans Foundation.
The Sharks then wrapped up outdoor practice with a special breakfast celebrating Head Coach Tyrone Green, who was selected as this week’s Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Coach of the Week presented by Jimmy Dean!

Unlocking Independence: Using Adaptive Technology for Student Success
Last month, AISD Assistive Technology specialists, OTs, and PTs strapped themselves into adaptive power wheelchairs to give the staff members valuable insights into available adaptive technology that might benefit the students they work with daily.
After trying the chairs themselves, staff got to see the real professionals at work–the students. The first visit was with EC Mason kindergartener Evalynn, who recently upgraded her specialized wheelchair. Her solo-session focused on how she can best use the new technology in the chair.

KPRC Channel 2’s Houston Life partnered with local company FW Walton Roofing to surprise Walt Disney Elementary teacher Jo Meek as the show’s Teacher of the Month for October!

The Book Bus needs your help filling its shelves! After putting thousands of books in children hands this summer, we're ready to restock.
