Alvin ISD has been named one of only 84 school districts in Texas to earn designation as a 2025 Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll District. In addition, four Alvin ISD campuses were recognized as 2025 Honor Roll Schools: Nolan Ryan Junior High, Fairview Junior High, Mary Marek Elementary, and Meridiana Elementary.
Now in its 11th year, the ERP Honor Roll recognizes top-performing public schools, school districts, and charter schools that outperform their peers in closing achievement gaps, with a particular focus on serving higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations.
“Being named an ERP Honor Roll District reflects the strong instructional practices and intentional support systems in place across Alvin ISD,” said Superintendent Carol Nelson. “This recognition highlights the dedication of our educators and staff, along with the perseverance of our students and the partnership of our families, all working together to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.”
This year, 1,076 schools and 84 school districts across Texas earned placement on the Honor Roll. Schools are selected based on consistently high levels of student achievement across all student groups, as well as demonstrated academic growth over time.
The 2025 Texas Honor Roll is supported by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence and co-presented in partnership with the Texas Business Leadership Council. It is the only award developed in collaboration with state and local business leaders and serves as a trusted resource for identifying best practices that drive student success statewide.
