
On Monday, March 3rd, Mayor Dan issued a Proclamation for Theater in Our Schools Month. March is Theatre in Our Schools Month, and we were proud to recognize some of our talented theatre students and their dedicated teacher at our recent City Council meeting!





Lydia Kennard served as Co-Mayor on March 3rd. Lydia got a glimpse of her future as she served as Co-Mayor! With big dreams of becoming Mayor one day, Lydia stepped into the role and served the people of Manvel during a Council meeting.




Congratulations to the members of Mav Guard! On March 1st they came in 3rd place at the TCGC Winter Guard Contest at Clear Creek HS. Their score improved over 12 points from their previous contest. Way to go, Mav Guard!





Congratulations to this year's Campus Teachers of the Year!
Each campus selected their own Teacher of the Year and those winners are now in the running to become either the Secondary or Elementary Teacher of the Year for the district! The district winners will be announced at the Employee Recognition ceremony in May.



MHS Staff participated in a Go Texan Day Chili Cookoff. Thank you to our teams that participated and congratulations to Team "From 6-2" on winning the competition.

Thank you Black Culture Club for Sponsoring a Dessert Bar for Staff to end our Black History Month Celebrations.


Principles of Education Class welcomed Little Rascal's Early Childhood center to MHS on Tuesday, February 25th. This partnership allows our education students to put the skills they are learning in class to use with preschool students.





MHS celebrated Black History Month with an HBCU hallway walk. AVID students created display tables for each college and prepared presentations with information about campus programs. Black-owned businesses were also represented with booths displaying their services.

On Wednesday, February 26th, our top teacher and student turtle sellers had their victory luncheon. The lunch was catered by JB Hensler College and Career Academy Culinary Students.
