Like barrel racing in the rodeo arena, the Quick Draw Contest is a competition against the clock. The contestants each are given an 11-by-14-inch piece of paper to sketch their masterpiece in 50 minutes. The winners are displayed in the Hayloft Gallery during the Show.

His artwork has been selected to be part of the 2026 txEDCON - TASA / TASB (the Texas Association of School Administrators and the Texas Association of School Boards) Exhibition, presented by Texas Art Education Association's Youth Art Month Program which will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, October 8-11, 2026.
This exhibition showcases Pre-K through 12th grade student works of art from across the state of Texas that have been selected to represent various school districts and private schools, along with an art advocacy booth, where conference attendees can learn more about the importance of quality visual arts programs at the local, regional, and state levels.
