Twenty-five Eagle readers traveled to the AISD District Lone Star Author Event to be recognized for their outstanding reading accomplishments! Five McNair readers earned the highest honor and received a recognition plaque. We all enjoyed hearing from authors Crystal Allen and Adrianna Cuevas as they shared their insights on writing books for middle-grade students. A huge thank you to HEB of Manvel for their generous donation of snacks and drinks.
✍️📚 This past week McNair celebrated World Poetry Day! Congratulations to our Top 10 Punctuation Poetry Contest winners, who were awarded their prize packs. Thank you to the teachers who encouraged students to participate and celebrate the power of words! 🦅✨

🖤✨ Today we commemorated Black History at our 4th Annual Black History Assembly! Thank you to the RMJH dance team, choir, and student performers for an amazing program, and a huge thank you to the Black History Assembly Committee for making it all possible. 🦅

I am proud of how fast the podcasters are creating content and learning to use our new equipment! Thank you to the Alvin ISD Education Foundation for our sewing Grant. Students have been learning to sew 6 different stitches in class. Then, students made Poptart mini pillows using those stitches.
