Just a reminder: all library books are due back by Friday, May 8th. Please help ensure your Wilder Wolf has their library books in their backpack on Sunday evening, so they aren't waiting until the last day to turn them in. The first class in each grade level to turn in ALL their books will win a special reward from Mrs. Sullivan. If a book has been checked out for more than 90 days, the book is automatically marked as lost. However, if you have the book and it's undamaged, Mrs. Sullivan will gladly take it back instead of you paying for it in MySchoolBucks. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Last night Mrs. Abraham, Ms. Bowens and Mrs. Sullivan were able to attend and represent Wilder at the Gathering Outreach annual Havana Nights Gala. This amazing organization provides our after-school Gathering Kids program that benefits so many of our Wilder Wolves on a daily basis. It's time to order your school supplies for next school year. Save yourself a lot of time shopping for all the necessary supplies and just order them from EPI. We have all the name-brand products in our school supply kits, so these are the things the teachers actually want your Wilder Wolf to have in their desks. None of the crayons that don't actually color, dried-up glue sticks, or dry-erase markers that don't last past the first week. This morning, Ms. Bonggot shared this picture with Mrs. Sullivan because one of her students had recently checked out a cookbook from the library, and she wanted to show her the cookies she had made after following the recipe. Reading can look different for every student; this week, it was in the form of a cookbook for one of our Kindergartners. One of Mrs. Sullivan's favorite Wilder traditions is when our Kindergarten classes donate a copy of their animal research books to the library. The Kindergarten teachers bring their classes down to the library, and Mrs. Sullivan goes through the book, discovering who the author was on each page and celebrating their exceptional work. We are truly grateful for your commitment to recycling. Your efforts make a real difference in protecting Texas’ land, water, and air. At H-E-B, our sustainability commitment Our Texas, Our Future [ourtexasourfuture.com] focuses on increasing awareness and education around practices that preserve our environment for future generations. This year, we had 816 schools participate statewide, and together we recycled over 8.4 million plastic bags!
