We can't wait for our students to meet their teachers for the upcoming school year. Class assignments will be released on Monday, August 10th at 3:00 PM in Skyward, and our Meet the Teacher event will follow from 4:30-6:00. Meet the Teacher is a come-and-go event, so no need to stay the entire time. Our deadline for Proof of Residency is quickly approaching. Who's required to submit proof of residency? All 3rd graders, anyone living in a domicile with a lease or rental agreement, and anyone previously on a residency affidavit. Email your required paperwork to our registrar, Ms. Tamayo, by the deadline to ensure there are no class assignment delays for your student. Be sure to include all three required items when emailing them to Ms. Tamayo, and identify who your child(ren) are so she can easily complete their residency check. As always, we appreciate your help with this very important matter.

It's time for another trip with our Wilder teachers in the wild, and today, we're traveling with Mrs. Roberts on a Royal Caribbean cruise to Cozumel and the Bahamas. This trip was in celebration of her son's high school graduation from Manvel High School and his start of college. Wolves in the Wild! The Watsons went to Washington, D.C., and saw the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. We also visited several Smithsonian Museums; a picture of the Natural History Museum is included. From there, we took the train from Union Station to Charlottesville, Virginia. It's time to take another journey with our Wilder staff in the wild, and this time we're traveling with our Speech-Language Pathologist, Mrs. DeGrange, who visited the Caribbean island of St. Maarten with her husband this summer. She says the highlight of the trip was renting jet skis and riding from the Dutch side of the island to the French side. Let's go on another adventure with our Wilder staff in the wild. Today's trip is with Mrs. Sullivan in Indianapolis. She went up for a niece's wedding, but made sure to stop by and visit the "bricks" at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While visiting the motor speedway, Mr. Sullivan insisted she "kiss the bricks" as all the race winners have done for over a century. If you know Mrs. Sullivan, you know this was probably the last thing she wanted to do, but she did it, despite the germs and dirt that were prevalent.
