Wilder teachers spent last week learning at HMNS, where they became astronauts on a mission to Mars! The Expedition Center provided an immersive experience that challenged our team to think like scientists, engineers, and explorers while building problem-solving, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills. As our teachers and staff begin their summertime travels, let's see all the places they'll go. Mrs. Alex made it to Paris . . . . Paris, TX that is. Built in 1993, the Texas Eiffel Tower stands one-sixteenth the size of the original in Paris, France. The red cowboy hat was added in 1998. She had her husband also rode the Texas State Railroad. This historic 25-mile heritage railway stretching between the East Texas towns of Palestine and Rusk is designated as the official Railroad of Texas. Mrs. Chen, Mrs. Dickerson, and Mrs. Watson met up with their 3rd grade classes recently at Reflection Bay pool for some fun, food, hugs & a lot of laughs with friends. One of our families shared a picture from their recent visit to Constellation Field to watch the Sugarland Space Cowboys play. Kenzie earned two free tickets to the Space Cowboys for reading books and participating in their spring reading challenge. Some of our Wilder Wolves received a special delivery from their mailman because Mrs. Sullivan didn't have a chance to deliver them to students before the year ended abruptly. These kiddos read 300 minutes between May 1st & 15th and earned another extra Beanstack reward. This time a free Panda Express kids meal & a free Jeremiah's Ice of their choosing. Dear Wilder Families, Mother Nature certainly threw us a curveball to close out the year. We share in your disappointment that the storm damage forced us to cut our final days short. It is never how we want to wrap up a school year, and we know our students and staff were looking forward to those final fun days together in their classrooms. However, even this storm cannot overshadow the incredible year we’ve shared. We are profoundly grateful for our amazing school community and immensely proud of our students. The good news is, our year isn't quite finished! We are fully committed to honoring our students' achievements and giving them the closure they deserve. Congratulations to our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders who earned their end-of-year Imagine Math dance party last week. Great job completing the required number of lessons. Mr Presley also wants to thank the parent volunteers who assisted with all three of the dance parties. #WilderWolves

The end of the school year is always hectic and fast paced, but Mrs. Sullivan wanted to make sure we highlighted yet another kindergarten book dedication. This time from Mrs. Boyd's class. These students work so hard on their special books from doing their research, writing, editing as well as creating their own illustrations. The deadline is fast approaching, so don't get left out. Save yourself a lot of time shopping for all the necessary supplies and just order them from EPI. We have all the name-brand products in our school supply kits, so these are the things the teachers actually want your Wilder Wolf to have in their desks. None of the crayons that don't actually color, dried-up glue sticks, or dry-erase markers that don't last past the first week.
