Greetings parents and/or guardians,
As we enter the final nine weeks of the school year, we would like to share a few important reminders regarding the Texas Cell Phone Law and our campus outside food policy.
Texas Cell Phone Law (House Bill 1481):
This law prohibits students from using personal communication devices during the school day. School districts are required to enforce disciplinary consequences for violations of this policy.
Each infraction of this policy will result in the following escalating consequences:
First offense – Device taken, returned to student at the end of the day
Second offense– Parent/ guardian must pick up the device
Third offense– $15 fine and parent/ guardian pickup required
For more information, please visit our district website: https://www.alvinisd.net/o/aisd/page/hb-1481
Outside Food Policy:
Food and drink deliveries from third party services (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc) are not permitted for students. Parents/guardians may drop off lunch for YOUR CHILD ONLY. Delivering food for other students is not allowed.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
Mrs. Gadson and Mrs. Soto

Our counselor, Tracy Clemons is more than just an educator; she is the heart and soul of Bennett Elementary. She has a rare blend of empathy and wisdom and she creates a safe harbor for every child that walks through our doors. She doesn't just solve problems- she builds the confidence and emotional resilience our students need to thrive for a lifetime! We love you, Mrs. Clemons! Happy Counselor Week!
