Hearing your laughter and singing always puts a smile on everyone’s face—students and staff alike. Your firm yet loving nature truly shines in your classroom, and your students absolutely adore you. Thank you for always bringing such positivity and joy to our campus!

Staff of the week goes to... Drum Roll... Mrs. Jessica Peacock! She is truly a child whisperer—students respond exceptionally well to her teaching because she takes the time to build meaningful relationships with every single student. Mrs. Peacock demonstrates strong leadership and collaborates effectively with her team. Even with 25 students in her classroom, she remains resilient and continues to make a meaningful difference in her students’ lives. Thank you Mrs. Peacock for always coming to work and giving it your all!

Our 2025-2026 Paraprofessional of the Year goes to... Mr. Coleman! He is consistently described as a true go-getter—never afraid of a challenge and always willing to step in wherever he is needed. He approaches his work with enthusiasm, positivity, and a genuine desire to support both students and staff, whether in the classroom, kindergarten, or the cafeteria. Mr. Coleman’s professionalism, willingness to learn, and positive spirit set him apart. He consistently goes the extra mile to ensure others feel supported, creating a welcoming and uplifting environment for all.


Our 2025-2026 Rookie Teacher of the Year goes to... Ms. Torres! She has a remarkable ability to keep students engaged and supported, creating a classroom where every student feels seen, valued, and motivated to learn. Colleagues describe her as sweet, hardworking, and deeply dedicated to her students’ success. Her joyful spirit and positive attitude radiate throughout the campus, uplifting both students and staff. For a first-year teacher, her professionalism, commitment, and heart for students truly stand out.


Our 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year goes to... Mrs. Pond! She represents as Bennett Elementary's Teacher of the Year because of her unwavering dedication to students and staff. She consistently works to support student growth by developing modified curriculum and providing valuable guidance, particularly in preparation for ARDs. Mrs. Pond is a true team player who willingly shares her expertise and supports others with professionalism and positivity. Her knowledge in both RLA and Special Education, strong advocacy for students, and commitment to collaboration make her an exceptional educator and a tremendous asset to our campus and district.


The Bennett Art Club is learning to sew. They are having a great time!



The Alvin ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 Academic Calendar in January. The full calendar is now up under "Calendar and Campus Hours"

Reminder: Alvin ISD will closed on Monday, January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Although you joined us later in the year, you have already proven to be an exceptional co-worker, a true team player, and an amazing teacher. You come to work each day with a smile on your face and are always willing to try new things to help your students grow and succeed. We are beyond blessed to have you as part of our Bennett family.
