Barbara Bennett Elementary

Staff of the week goes to... Drum Roll... Ms. Donye Morgan! One of Ms. Morgan's greatest strengths is her calm and caring personality. She has a natural ability to make students feel comfortable, which helps build confidence and fosters positive relationships. Ms. Morgan is not only a wonderful educator but also a trusted source of support and encouragement, and her efforts are deeply appreciated by students and families alike.

We celebrated our third first day at Bennett Elementary with Mrs. Barbara Bennett. Mrs. Bennett has been present on the first day of school since the building opened. We are so grateful for her support and the students get so excited to see her. Thank you to all of our parents for making today a smooth start. We are so excited for the 2026-2027 school year. #weseeyou

Parents, we kindly ask that you remain in your vehicle during morning car rider drop-off. To help keep all of our students safe and our car rider line moving smoothly, parents should not park and walk their student to the front door, or office.

When you reach the drop-off area, please allow your student to exit the vehicle independently if they are able to do so. Our staff will be there to help students safely enter the building.

💙 Stay in your car, let us help your student get inside, and help us keep our morning drop-off safe and smooth for everyone!

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and help as we get our school year off to a great start! We truly appreciate you! We can't wait to see you on Thursday, August 13, 2026!

New and existing families, please read the flyers below for important information.

We are so excited to welcome everyone back! Meet the Teacher is just around the corner on Monday, August 10th. We look forward to seeing all of our wonderful students and families soon.

Thank you to Ms. Melenie Eskridge from Manvel Library Branch of the Brazoria County Library System for coming to Bennett to present to all of the grade levels about summer reading and all of the activities at the public library. Our students were really excited about the dinosaur theme and the stories she read aloud.

Kindergarten students participated in Kinder Camp Day today. What an exciting experience. Thank you to all of our kindergarten teachers and parents for helping make this day a huge success.

Tomorrow is Field Day! It is going to be warm. The students will not be outside all day, but they will be outside for some time. Please send your child with a water bottle and apply sunscreen before coming to school, as we are unable to apply sunscreen at school. Please make sure your child wears closed-toe shoes, preferably tennis shoes, and school-appropriate summer clothes, preferably shorts. Students may also wear a hat or visor.
Please label water bottles with your child’s name if possible. We also encourage students to eat a good breakfast and come ready to have fun!
