AJH is collecting new and unwrapped gifts from now until we leave for Christmas break! The gifts are for a local charity called Texas hope. They will be given to kids in Alvin ages 0 to 18 years old. Gifts for older kids and teens would be appreciated. Gift ideas include: earbuds, led lights, skateboards, sports equipment, make up, cell phone cases, puzzles, craft kits, throw blankets and pillows. The grade that collects the most gifts will get a prize after our break. Take gifts to the office to donate and make sure you get a ticket for your grade level to get credit!
Candy Cane Grams will be on sale for $1 beginning at the Winter Dance, then during all lunches beginning on Monday.
Here are the schedules for each day of semester exams. Students will not be allowed to bring backpacks (girls may have a purse). Each day is also a dress up day.
Important December dates!
The Winter Dance/Open Gym is this Friday from 6-8 pm. Tickets are on sale during all lunches for $5; $7 at the door. ID badges are REQUIRED! If the badge has been lost, a replacement must be purchased for $5 in the front office.
TSI Test registration is open for the January 15 test. Counselors have the registration packets. TSI is required for all students who enroll in dual credit classes in high school.

Congratulations to the 6th graders for having the most attendance on our AJH skate night. They won a pajama day for 11/22/24. All other grade levels are to be in dress code or camo/animal print for camo dress out day.
Our CIS program still needs to reach the goal for the All In For The Kids Fundraiser! Our annual fundraiser provides vital support to families in need, help provide incentives as well as ensuring that our students have resources and materials for a successful school year. Communities in Schools offers some great things for our students. Pastries Club made mini cupcakes last week. During lunch groups students created gratitude trees and wrote what they are thankful for on the leaves.
Reminder for Alvin ISD families, Thanksgiving Break will be November 25-29. There will be no classes for students and the district will be closed. School will resume on Monday, December 2.
