Our Bearkat Robotics teams participated in their first scrimmage last weekend. They have been building and coding their robots for since the beginning of September. We are so proud of their hard work and performance. We can't wait for the next scrimmage in January! @AlvinISD

Today we held our 8th annual school spelling bee. We are so proud of all our spellers, they did an amazing job. Congratulations to Benjamin on winning for his second year in a row. We can't wait to see you at the district bee! @alvinisd

Mistletoe Mismatch!


We had so much fun last week with our first five dress up days of December. We can't wait to see what's in store for this week! @AlvinISD







Our third graders rang in the holiday season last Thursday with an outstanding musical performance, led by Mr. Jordan. Filled with festive songs and musical instruments, it was the perfect treat to get the holiday season started! @AlvinISD

Several of our fifth graders participated in the SCHS One Voice Choir concert this week. What an excellent opportunity for students to meet the junior high choir directors and see what the choir program is like! Thanks to everyone who participated and directed. @AlvinISD





Our school specialists donated food items and toys for Angels of Light through Second Baptist Church. This program provides children and families from Houston's inner-city and surrounding communities with a warm meal, Christmas program, and special gifts. #AlvinISDserves


Fourth graders created kindness for unsuspecting recipients through rocks with inspirational messages. At Independence Park, these special stones were dropped along the way because one message at the right moment can change someone's entire day. #AlvinISD serves








3rd grade chose to support Rainbow of Love Houston, an organization dedicated to helping mothers and children. They collected the organization’s most needed items—diapers and wipes. Thanks to our students and their supportive parents, we had an amazing turnout! #AlvinISDserves






Second grade took the time to kick off the holiday season, sharing some holiday cheer. The students donated much needed items to the patients at Texas Children's Hospital, and those at The Beacon of Hope Shelter. #AlvinISDserves


Our first grade team and students joined in for #AlvinISD serves by collecting craft activities to donate to Texas Children's Hospital.



Each November, SBE loves participating in Alvin ISD. Stay tuned this week to see how our students took part this year. Our kindergarten students showed thanks to Pearland Fire Department Station 8 with a delivery of blankets, snacks, lotions, soaps and more! #AlvinISDserves
