Mark your calendars! Spring Break kicks off this weekend. We’ll see everyone back in class on March 16th!
Enjoy the well-deserved break, Bearkats!

Our students truly stepped into different shoes today—both literally and figuratively—to celebrate our local culture and honor incredible historical legacies. Here is a look at what we were up to:
Boot-Scootin' into Rodeo Season with Go Texan Day! From tiny cowboy boots to ten-gallon hats and plaid shirts, our halls were filled with the best western gear. The rodeo spirit is alive and well!
We also beautifully wrapped up Black History Month with our student-led Living Wax Museum. Our students worked so hard researching, dressing up, and portraying trailblazing African American historical figures. Listening to them confidently share these important stories was absolutely inspiring!
We are so incredibly proud of our little historians and cowboys/cowgirls for making today so memorable. Be sure to ask your student who their favorite wax museum figure was!
Have a wonderful weekend, Bearkats! @AlvinISD

Thank you for always stepping up for our kids and our school! @AlvinISD

There is nothing we love more than when our community members share their heritage with our students!
Mrs. Hung joined our Kindergarten class this week to teach us about the significance of Lunar New Year. The kids were fascinated by the beautiful traditions and the meaning behind the celebration. Thank you, Mrs. Hung, for such an enriching experience! @alvinisd

Hope your long weekend was sweet! We had a blast seeing everyone at the Sweetheart Picnic last week. Can't wait to see you back at school tomorrow! @AlvinISD

Today is Crossing Guard Appreciation Day, and we want to send a massive THANK YOU to the dedicated men who keep our students safe every single morning and afternoon. We are thankful for you!

Standing up in front of a crowd to spell challenging words is no small feat, and every single student handled the pressure with grace and determination. You made Brothers proud!
We also want to recognize Prashun for advancing to the District level. He represented our school remarkably well last week, showing great poise and sportsmanship. Great job Bearkats!

We’d be lost without her! Let’s give a huge round of applause to our Faculty Member of the Week, our amazing school secretary, Ms. Hippler!
They say the secretary is the heart of the school, and that couldn't be truer for Ms. Hippler. She keeps our school running smoothly, handles every curveball with grace, and does it all with a "funky but amazing" sense of fashion that brightens our hallways every single day. From her love of chickens to her love for our students, she is truly one of a kind. Thank you for everything you do!

We are so fortunate to have Mrs. Dominique guiding our students. Her mission is simple but powerful: ensuring every single student feels happy, safe, and seen. Whether she’s oshe'sng a warm smile in the hallway, providing a patient and listening ear, or leading one of her many clubs and groups focused on social and emotional growth, her impact is felt everywhere. She doesn'tdoesn'tupport our students; she helps them thrive. Thank you, Mrs. Dominique. Happy National School Counseling Week!

Whether it was the 100th day of this year, the 101st day of 1st grade fun, or the monumental 1,000th day of an elementary school career for our 5th graders—every single day counts, and we had fun celebrating it. Thank you to our teachers, parents, and students for making every number special. Here’s to finishing the rest of the year strong!

The results are in! Help us celebrate our 2026 winners:
Mrs. Burroughs, the SBE Teacher of the Year, is a master of 4th-grade RLA who has been with Brothers Elementary since the beginning. Her passion for student growth is legendary!
Coach Foster, the Para of the Year, our "Positivity Pro," who goes above and beyond to make every child feel seen and loved.
Thank you both for making Brothers Elementary the best place to be! Bearkat PRIDE!
