Our 1st graders put their handmade wind socks to the ultimate test today! They are becoming expert scientists, learning how air and wind direction work through hands-on experimentation. Seeing science concepts come to life is the best! Great work, First Grade! @alvinisd
Kindergarten explorers had a smashing time with pumpkins! We learned about their texture, counted seeds, and talked about the life cycle. So much hands-on fun! Great learning experience.

"New math" seems scary, but it's a beautiful thing. It's about learning how to be flexible with numbers and truly understand the math. In Mrs. Portillo’s class, students worked with base ten blocks to solve multiplication equations using the area model.
