The NJHS induction ceremony is September 26th from 6 pm - 7 pm in the MJH Cafeteria. There will be refreshment s and dress is semi-formal.
MJH Library will have a Scholastic Book Fair Sept. 23-27. We will be open during Open House on Sept. 25 from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM.
FFA-Round Up for 3rd through 12 . Informational Meeting August 26 5:30-6:30, Student and Alumni Meeting 6:30-7:30, Manvel High School Cafeteria. Games, refreshments, and learn about leadership opportunities.
As our families prepare for back to school, we wanted to give a quick reminder on Alvin ISD's Cell Policy.
The district permits students to possess personal cell phone for safety purposes.
Smart watches (including Fit Bits), earbuds (including Air Pods), headphones, mobile game consoles and all other electronic devices are not permitted.
Cell phones must be remain powered off and stored away during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes.
Over the coming weeks, we'll spend some time focusing on why AISD finds it necessary to limit cell phone and smart device use during the school day.

Incoming 7th Grade Boys Athletic Parent Meeting
When: Monday, May 20th
Where: MJH Cafeteria
Time: 5:30pm - 6:00pm
Who: All students planning to participate and/ or try out for a sport next season.
Re: To discuss requirements to participate, 1st period athletics expectations, dresscode, cut sports vs. non cut sports, and to give a preliminary idea of what to expect with each sport.
Teen Police Academy for High School Students June 10-21st Mon. - Thurs. 8 AM - 4 PM
Soccer Tryout Information:
Monday, 3/25 and Tuesday, 3/26.
Must have a physical on file in Rank One.
Must have passed all classes for the 3rd 9 weeks grading period.
7th grade in the morning, doors open at 6:45.
Enter through the locker room door facing the parent pick up turnaround/ football field.
8th grade will be in the afternoon: 4:20 - 5:20
Meet in the locker room after school.
This is the last week to donate to the book drive!
REVISED - Coffee with Counselors will now be March 7, 8:05 am - 9:00 am.
Swim practice starts Monday 2/26. Swimmers will meet in the athletic hallway after school. See the athletics page for more details on meets.
