Today is School Librarian Appreciation Day! These educators do more than provide access to books—they foster a love for reading and empower students to explore both history and the world around them!

MJH BOYS TENNIS TRYOUTS When: Tryouts will begin Monday, March 24th Time: 4:30pm Requirements: Must be eligible to participate per UIL Must be cleared w/ a physical on file in Rank One No discipline issues, ISS, write ups, etc. We will meet in the boys' locker room and walk over to the courts. Items needed: Water Jug Proper shoes for playing tennis. Do not wear cleats, vans, crocs, or slides. I will not let you tryout without proper shoes. Proper attire: t-shirt, shorts, socks. If you're in athletics, your MJH athletic clothes are perfect. Please bring your racquet if you have one. We do have racquets if you need to borrow one. We will try out Monday - Wednesday. I will separate by skill level on the first day.

Coffee with counselors has been canceled for this week.

Congratulations to this year's Campus Teachers of the Year! Each campus selected their own Teacher of the Year and those winners are now in the running to become either the Secondary or Elementary Teacher of the Year for the district! The district winners will be announced at the Employee Recognition ceremony in May.

REMINDER: Friday, February 14 is a Teacher Professional Learning day and there is no school for students. Monday, February 17 is holiday for all students and staff.

Swim Tryouts/ Practice will begin Tuesday, 2/18. after school. We will meet in the athletic hallway and walk over to Manvel HS for practice.

Track Season will begin Monday, February, 10th. Please see the athletic web page for practice times and sequence, track and field schedule. We will practice in the mornings before school starts. Doors will open at 6:45am.

Fall Picture Retake January 16th.

Reminder for Alvin ISD families, Thanksgiving Break will be November 25-29. There will be no classes for students and the district will be closed. School will resume on Monday, December 2. We hope everyone has a safe and happy break!
