When we think about school, we often think of teachers and students, but there’s a quiet force in the building making sure students are actually okay enough to learn: The School Counselor. School counselors are the ultimate multitaskers. On any given day, they are:

The Emotional Anchor: Helping a student navigate a tough morning or a mental health crisis.
The Path-Finder: Guiding seniors through the maze of college apps and career dreams.
The Bridge Builders: Connecting parents, teachers, and students to make sure nobody falls through the cracks.
The Conflict Resolvers: Teaching the life skills that aren't found in a math 101 syllabus.

Education isn’t just about grades; it’s about growing into a whole person. Counselors provide the safety net that allows students to take risks, fail, and get back up again. Ms Price, we see you, we appreciate you. Thank you for being the heart of our school. ❤️ #WIlderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

This week is Counselor Appreciation Week, and at Wilder, we have one of the best: Ms. LaNetta Price. Ms. Price is our incredible school counselor, supporting our students with compassion, patience, and an open heart every single day. From big feelings to big decisions, Ms. Price is always there to listen, encourage, and help our students shine. Thank you, Ms. Price, for being a safe space, a steady guide, and such an important part of our school family. We are so grateful for all you do! #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Ladies & Gentlemen, start your collecting! Call your grandparents, talk to your neighbors, ask your friends at work to save all their plastic grocery bags. We don't care if they have holes or tears; it doesn't matter. Just save them! Every bag is worth its weight in gold (and it helps save the Earth). Don't start sending them to school until March, but don't wait to start collecting. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Our 5th graders are working hard this morning, taking their Jr. High Math MAP test in the cafeteria. Our 5th-grade math teachers have worked hard this year to prepare our students, and I know that Mrs. Melton and Mrs. Herrera are proud of all they've achieved thus far. Good luck, 5th graders! #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Lots of exciting things are happening in 2nd grade these days. Mrs. Owen recently had her students research 2 different habitats. They had to compare them, predict what would happen to the plants and animals if it didn't rain for a long time in one of the habitats, and then present their findings to their classmates. Great job, Wolves! #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Recently, 2nd graders in Ms. Clinton's math class went on a 3D scavenger hunt throughout our hallways. Anytime students get to walk, talk, and learn at the same time, it's always a hit! Great job, 2nd graders, and thanks for a fun lesson, Ms. Clinton. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Congratulations to these two incredible women. Mrs. Abraham is our Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. James is our Paraprofessional of the Year. Both of these ladies exemplify what it means to be a Wilder Wolf. They both love our students with their whole hearts and go above and beyond every single day to ensure their students have what they need to be successful. When you see them, please be sure to congratulate them and thank them for all they do every day. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Big shoutout to Kyra & Julia, our Wilder math superstars! These students are the lucky winners of our Imagine Math district drawing for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds. To qualify, these winners demonstrated a proactive approach to their learning by consistently engaging with the program's "Live Help" instructional support. #WIlderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Congratulations to Mrs. Roberts' 4th-grade homeroom for logging the most minutes on Beanstack so far this month. Everyone is trying to get their final minutes in for the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor free summer day pass, which ends February 7th. There's still time to get your minutes in and enjoy a free day of fun in the sun this summer. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Looks like O'Marli is King of the Day today with Mrs. Watson. He cashed in 20 Dojo points to be pushed around like the king we all know he is. Keep up the great work, O'Marli, and make sure that Mrs. Watson isn't pushing too fast or too slow. What a great reward, Mrs. Watson, we love it! #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

This morning, one of our 1st graders in Ms. Washington's class checked out the 26,000th book of the school year from the library. I think it's safe to say she was excited for her swag bag, poster, and, of course, her new books. We are so proud of our Wilder Wolves for their dedication to reading. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

This morning's inaugural puzzle club meeting was a success. We had a great group of puzzle lovers fill the library, and Mr. Hardman was excited to see so many different students participating. Don't forget to fill out the consent form if you want to attend. There's always room for more, and all ages are welcome. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD
