Today is School Librarian Appreciation Day!
These educators do more than provide access to books—they foster a love for reading and empower students to explore both history and the world around them!

Mrs. Gillie's Pre-K students had an opportunity to share and read their "Things I Want" books they created with Mrs. Marz while she visited their classroom earlier today. The spring semester is always so much fun because we get to see firsthand how much our littlest learners have grown throughout the year. Great job, girls, and great job, Mrs. Gillie. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Yesterday, Ms. Deana Fuchs from Farm Bureau came to talk to first grade about the life cycle of a chicken in honor of their life cycles unit in science. Students will also follow the development of chicks as they grow inside the egg and eventually hatch inside their classrooms! We can't wait to see how this unique project progresses. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

In science class, Mrs. Tran's 4th graders are learning about sound energy using tuning forks: great job, Mrs. Tran and scholars. We love seeing you learn with experiments. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Earlier this morning, our incredible GT teacher, Mrs. McCord, won two AISD Education Foundation grants: Earthworms, plants, and gardens, Oh My! and Creativity gets my brain moving again! Congrats Mrs. McCord - #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

At Wilder, we have the most incredible paraprofessionals. This morning, our 5th-grade team provided a special breakfast for the paras, and the Leadership team provided everyone's favorite Nothing Bundt Cake flavor as a sweet treat. Thank you, ladies, for all you do! We couldn't do it without you. #WIlderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

One day doesn't seem to be enough to thank our amazing paraprofessionals for all they do. Thank you, ladies, for everything you do to help our staff and students every single day. You are all incredible women that go above and beyond. You are the best of the best! #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Let’s celebrate the unique strengths, talents, and perspectives of individuals with autism. Inclusion, understanding, and kindness make the world better for everyone. Spread awareness, embrace neurodiversity, and advocate for acceptance—not just today but every day! #WIlderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Wilder community, please remember that April is filled with important STAAR testing dates for our 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students. On testing days, the campus is closed to all visitors. Deliveries can't be made to the classrooms, and students will not be pulled from classrooms for early release, so please ensure appointments aren't scheduled on these days. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Mrs. Connelly's kindergarteners visited the library today with Mrs. Sullivan and listened to two funny, laugh-out-loud books. First, we read about some funny bunnies on a bus and then about a duck that won't blink during a staring contest. So, of course, we had to have a few rounds of a staring contest to see if we could beat the duck before checking out new books. @philipardaugh @alexlatimer.author #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

🌙✨ Wishing our school community a joyful and blessed Eid al-Fitr! May this special time bring happiness, peace, and togetherness to all who celebrate. Eid Mubarak! 🕌🧡 #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Mrs. Gillie's pre-K students have been learning about nutrition recently, and today they followed steps to make pizzas. Our pre-K students are so lucky to have such dedicated, enthusiastic, and loving teachers to guide them during their first year at Wilder. #WIlderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Congratulations to Mrs. Johnson for being our Wolf of the Week. Mrs. Johnson goes above and beyond with everything she does. She's always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it's for a student, teacher, or another staff member. Wilder is so fortunate to have Mrs. Johnson on our campus. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

We love it when we catch our students having fun reading. Because after all, reading is always better with King Kong and Godzilla. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

We'll kick off our Kindergarten Roundup at Wilder one month from today. Mark your calendars now. More information will be shared as the event approaches. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

2nd graders in Ms. Johnson's class are reviewing genres they've studied throughout the year by making genre bookmarks to share. Awesome work boys & girls #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Our 2nd-grade GT students started planting their garden outside of the GT room this week, and I bet today's rain showers will help them grow. Great job, boys and girls, and thanks to Mrs. McCord for always doing such an outstanding job with our gifted students. #WIlderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Tomorrow is opening day for the Astros, so let's see all those Astros tees & jerseys at school tomorrow. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Today was International Pi Day (3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197), and in Ms. Irby's 4th-grade math class, students celebrated by working on their fractions and creating their favorite pizza pie. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Congratulations to our amazing music teacher, Mrs. Ball for being our Wolf of the Week. Mrs. Ball has done a wonderful job with our music program this year. Congrats! #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD
