🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from Wilder Elementary! 🍁We're grateful for our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive community. May your holiday be filled with joy, love, and delicious food! 🦃🍽️ #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Congrats to Mrs. Davis, our Math Resource Specialist and Special Education Department Head, for being our Wolf of the Week. Mrs. Davis is incredibly kind and caring. She's always got a smile on her face and a heart willing to help anyone who might benefit from her expertise. Congratulations Mrs. Davis - #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Our Pre-K friends collected food to donate to a local food pantry for their Alvin ISD Serves project. Our amazing Pre-K teachers helped students understand the importance of giving and being thankful. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Today, our kindergarten students had a Wilder Thanksgiving Day parade (think @Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade) and showed off their balloon creations while walking around the library and atrium. We are so lucky to have the caring and creative kindergarten teachers we have at Wilder. Mrs. Sullivan will soon post a video of their parade, but this is a sneak peek of what's to come. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

We've had a number of wet books returned to the library. Unfortunately, wet books and humidity create mold, quickly spreading and ruining an entire library collection.
Please help remind your students to keep water bottle lids on tightly to prevent damaging our books. #WIlderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

This morning, 2nd-grader Solana T. in Mrs. Plick's class checked out the library's 11,000th book of the year. Solana is a book lover and is in the library most mornings, so it's fantastic that she was our lucky winner. Not only does Solana get this social media post all to herself, but she also gets to select a prize from the Library Prize Cart. Great job, Wilder Wolves, on checking out over 11,000 books before Thanksgiving, but also for reading over 155,000 minutes in Beanstack. Keep reading and keep achieving Wolves. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Reminder for Alvin ISD families, Thanksgiving Break will be November 25-29. There will be no classes for students and the district will be closed. School will resume on Monday, December 2.
We hope everyone has a safe and happy break!

Wilder has the most incredible custodial staff. They put the "I" in KIND every single day. They not only care for our school, but also its people, and we probably don't say thanks enough. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Congrats Ms Bowens for being nominated as our Wolf of the Week. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Everyday we try to teach our students the importance of kindness. Seeing their willingness to help one another is our reward. Celebrate kindness everyday! #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD #WorldKindnessDay

Congrats to Mrs. Irby, one of our 4th-grade math teachers. Mrs. James nominated her for going above and beyond every day for her students. Mrs. Irby always has a smile on her face and is willing and eager to help wherever help is needed. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Throughout November, each grade level participates in a service project, where we collectively give back to our generous community. 2nd grade collected excess Halloween candy to donate to Treats for Troops and Military Moms & Spouses of Brazoria County. Students donated over 20 pounds of treats to our service members. Fantastic work 2nd grade. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Congrats to our Spelling Bee Round 3 participants. We're so proud of you and can't wait to see who'll represent Wilder Elementary at the District Spelling Bee in February. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Last Friday, Mrs. Gillie's Pre-K students learned how to make apple sauce using a recipe. Their patience & hard work were rewarded with a yummy, tasty treat. Great job, boys & girls, and great job, Mrs. Gillie. #WilderWolvees #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Congratulations to our October Wolves of the Month. These students exemplify our Wilder Pledge as enthusiastic, dedicated, and respectful learners. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Congratulations to Mrs. Gillie's Pre-K students and Mrs. Tran's 4th graders for winning the October Imagine Math traveling trophy. Great job, kiddos - keep up the great work. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

A special shout out to Mrs. Ball for an incredible Veteran's Day program last night with our 1st—and 2nd-grade students. The performance was phenomenal, and our students were incredible. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Pre-K students are disguising Tom Turkey as we creep closer to Thanksgiving. They've done a great job and saved a few turkeys from the carving block later this month. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Our students and teachers will participate in various community service projects in November. Today, after learning about Veterans Day, Mrs. Chen's 3rd graders wrote letters to veterans thanking them for their service to our great country. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD

Today, our students had the opportunity to participate in a mock election, selecting a mascot; here are a few pictures of our 5th graders casting their votes. #WilderWolves #GLOW #AllinAlvinISD Also, don't forget it's election day, and the polls are open until 7 PM, GO VOTE
