Yes, that’s right! JBH has its very own Teacher of the Year! This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion that goes into making a difference in the lives of students every single day. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

Its that time. Parents and students make sure to check you email for you program letters. They will come through skyward. Come join us on these mandatory meeting dates.

This is really is a game-changer! When the walls of the classroom come down and schools start collaborating with the "real world"—industries, local businesses, and community leaders—the energy shifts completely.

These students have worked tirelessly all year preparing for their exam, with the goal of passing and becoming Certified Medical Assistants. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment have paid off, and we are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.

Today we had the privilege of recognizing one of our JBH and Alvin High school senior Carolina Garcia for her acceptance into The University of Texas at Austin. This achievement alone is outstanding, but it becomes even more impressive with the full academic scholarship!

Our students showed up, faced the challenge, and pushed through the fear of competing—and that’s a win in itself. While we didn’t advance to nationals this time, several of our students placed, and every one of them gained valuable experience and confidence along the way.

Hands-on as it gets. Our Dual Credit Biology class is diving right in with worm dissections, turning textbook concepts into real-world understanding. Seeing it firsthand and working through it step by step makes the learning stick in a way nothing else can.

Our Digital Graphics class put on an incredible digital portfolio showcase, and it did not disappoint. The creativity, effort, and growth on display were impressive across the board. From concept to final product, these students really showed what they’re capable of.

Its that time again!

Our Construction students stepped into the CIEF Home Build Design Shed Competition for the first time this year. While we didn’t come away with a win, the experience was a big one—real-world problem solving, teamwork, and learning what it takes to compete at that level.

Our students had the opportunity to participate in the Job Y’all event this week! This career exploration and hiring event gave students real-world experience connecting with employers and learning about opportunities across a variety of industries.

We are incredibly proud of our students who represented us at BCPC yesterday! They stepped up, took initiative, and put themselves out there by interviewing for future career opportunities after high school. That kind of confidence, dedication, and drive is what sets them apart.

Have a fun and SAFE Spring Break!

JBH was proudly represented at the SkillsUSA competition, bringing home multiple Top 3 finishes and earning placements at the state level as well. Our students competed with professionalism, skill, and confidence, and their hard work paid off.

Strike the arc. Lay the bead. Test the strength. Our welding students don’t just practice — they prove their work holds up under pressure.

From the classroom to the field — applying what they’ve learned, practicing their skills, and proving they’re ready for the real world.

Happy CTE Month! The Criminal Justice program is honored to be highlighted during this time. We’re proud of the hard work our students put in every day as they prepare for careers in law enforcement, investigations, public service, and beyond.

Welcome to the Sinister Wax Museum. Our Law II students researched some of history’s most notorious serial killers, then brought their cases to life. This isn’t about glorifying evil. It’s about understanding it. Walk carefully. Choose wisely. They might choose you next.

Our Graphic Design II students just wrapped their final drink packaging projects. They’ve spent weeks mastering bleeds, tabs, and typography—today, it all came together through printing, scoring, and assembly. The shelf-ready results are looking crisp!
