Mrs. Falcon brings with her a love for reading, a heart for education, and experience teaching upper elementary ELA and Social Studies. Hello! My name is Abigail Falcon and I am so excited to be a part of the Don Jeter Elementary team! I grew up in the Alvin area and feel so lucky to now teach for Alvin ISD.

I taught 5th and 6th grade RLA and Social Studies at Pearland ISD for 3 years. I am passionate about helping students find joy and comfort in reading.

I recently got married in December 2024 to my high school sweetheart. In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants in the Houston area, watching movies, keeping up with sports, and reading books.

With a love for building strong student relationships and a heart for teaching, she’s ready to make a lasting impact on our Jaguars! 📚 📬 A message from Ms. Palacio: Hello! My name is Karina Palacio, and I’m super excited to be joining the amazing team at Don Jeter Elementary! This will be my 10th year in education. I graduated from Texas Tech University through the TechTeach program in 2016—Wreck 'Em! I was raised in the Texas Hill Country (Marble Falls, TX) but moved to Houston three years ago after getting engaged. My husband Carlos and I have now been happily married for almost two years. We have an adopted dog named Miles and are hoping to start a family soon now that we’ve settled into our new home. My hobbies include anything related to crafts or art, like painting or creating online. I’m also a big sports fan—soccer and basketball are my favorites—and you can often find me at Dynamo, Astros, or Rockets games. I love spending time with my family, playing board games, and being out on the water, especially the lakes and rivers back home. Fun facts about me: I can play the saxophone, and technically I’m supposed to change my last name to Cruz... but I haven’t gotten to it yet. Ha! I’m passionate about teaching and truly value the relationships I build with my students. I can’t wait for a wonderful year at DJE!
