Don Jeter Elementary

We held our third nine weeks pep rallies today! 🐾💙💛 We announced our Character Strong recipients for the December, January, and February traits—empathy, perseverance, and honesty. 👏 We are so proud of our students for demonstrating these character traits! 🌟

Over spring break, Maryem participated in NestFest! She volunteered with family and friends to help clean coastal nesting sites for shorebirds and turtles. According to Splash Texas, more than 500 people joined the effort, removing 5,200 pounds of garbage from nearby beaches. 🌊🐢 She also visited the rodeo to see one of her favorite animals—horses! 🤠🐎 Maryem hopes to be a cowboy pilot one day, and the horses seem to love her just as much as she loves them.

Breeann and Breenay enjoyed putt-putt golf and the rodeo over the break! ⛳🤠

It looks like Asher reached a milestone over spring break and celebrated with some great food! 🎉🍽️

Kameron had the best time this spring break riding a four-wheeler and exploring the outdoors! 🌿

Maddie had the best Spring Break! She loved watching her Papaw’s band play and hitting the Rodeo. 🎸🎡

Beach days are the best days! Benjamin and Cecilia enjoyed every minute in Galveston this week. 🐚

Looks like Nicolas had a busy and fun Spring Break exploring the zoo, enjoying the rodeo, and relaxing at the beach! 🐒🤠🏖️

Colby had a great time visiting Lake Travis during Spring Break! ☀️🌊

Kenlyn and Jaz’mariya enjoyed their Spring Break visiting Margaritaville in Conroe! ☀️🌴

Grayson had a great Spring Break visiting the rodeo and having fun at Chuck E. Cheese! 🤠

Looks like Yaylen had an incredible Spring Break! He set sail on the Carnival Breeze and had a great time exploring Cozumel, Mexico. 🌊🚢

Looks like Aubrey had a fun and busy Spring Break! ☀️ We love seeing our students enjoying their time off!

Congrats to our Jag Staff Member of the Week, Mrs. Zavalla!

We are so happy to have Mrs. Zavalla back! Since returning from maternity leave, she has jumped right back in with her students. Her calm demeanor, patience, and kindness are truly a gift to our campus and our Pre-K learners. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Zavalla! 🌟

Mrs. Peña does so much for our campus! From handling the front desk to the million other things she does behind the scenes, we are so grateful to have her at Jeter. She is incredibly flexible, patient, and hardworking! Thank you Mrs. Peña for everything you do! 🌟

As part of Read Across America Week, today was Cozy Up with a Good Book Day! 📚 Students came to school in their pajamas and spent time enjoying some great books!
