Join us for the first Bennett Family Movie Night on Friday, May 2nd at 6:00pm! We will be showing "The Emperor's New Groove" in the Bennett Elementary Cafeteria. Tickets are $5/person for ages 4 and up (children 3 and under are free). Tickets include entry, popcorn, and a bottle of water. Bring a blanket, camping chair, and/or pillow to get comfy during the movie. There will be concessions (drinks, candy, chips, nachos, pizza, etc.) offered for additional cost (cash only).
Please note: Movie Night is not a drop-off event. Each student/child must be accompanied by an adult to ensure the safety of our children and school.

2nd graders observed painted lady caterpillars' life cycle and released emerged butterflies this week at the end of their Life Cycle unit!
Sight Word and Number Hunt
Who said learning couldn't be fun! The students enjoyed a fun sight word and number egg hunt! What a great way to get our three day weekend going!
Staff of the week goes to... Drum roll.... Ms. Corri Valiare! Anytime you walk into her classroom, you are greeted with smiles and all students engaged in their learning. The positive culture she has created in her classroom is very noticeable. Students are learning and truly enjoying themselves. She is a great team player and always willing to help! Bennett Elementary is fortunate to have Ms. Valiare teaching our young minds.
2nd grade PE was held outside today. While most of the class played basketball, jumped rope and played tag, these 5 students spent the entire time walking around the field picking up litter! We overheard Rudie say, "We need to take care of the Earth!” Great job, 2nd grade!

On Wednesday, April 9th we had a STAAR pep rally to get our 3rd-5th grade students pumped for STAAR! I think it's safe to say we all had a great time!
We LOVE our librarian, Ms. Jaime Garcia! We are beyond grateful for her and everything she does for our school! Librarian's day was last week but she was at a conference getting more fun ideas to teach our students. Thank you for everything you do!

Staff of the well goes to... Drum roll.... Ms. Hoang Ngo!! She always goes above and beyond for our students and makes sure they are well fed. Ms. Ngo always has a smile on her face and makes great relationships with our students. We are truly appreciate her always going above and beyond her job duties.
