What a wonderful way to connect summer experience with classroom learning. This student shared her visit to the museum of Fine Arts in Houston featuring Frida Kahlo and taught her classmates about the artist's life and work. So proud of her confidence and curiosity.
On Friday, our 4th grade GT students went on a field trip to the Houston Health Museum and completed stations and labs in the DeBakey Cell Lab. Thank you Mrs. Evans for scheduling such an amazing experience.

Staff of the week goes to... Drum Roll... Officer Bowers! He is so much more than the person who helps keep our campus safe—he is truly a part of our Bennett family! You can find him helping in the cafeteria, building positive relationships with our students, assisting with traffic control, and always being there to help wherever he is needed. He takes the time to get to know our students, creates meaningful connections, and makes a positive impact on our campus every day. We are incredibly thankful for his dedication, kindness, and commitment to keeping our Blue Jays safe!

The Book Bus needs your help filling its shelves! After putting thousands of books in children hands this summer, we're ready to restock.
From Sept 21–Oct 8 families can donate gently used books in bins throughout AISD schools and participating community locations! Thank you for helping us put more books into the hands of Alvin ISD children—one book at a time!

Ms. Peacock's first grade class has been learning a lot about physical properties! Today they had a blast designing and building their own catapults! They identified the different parts of their catapults, tested their designs, and had so much fun seeing how far they could launch their objects. ☺️
Mrs. Martinez and her art students completed an awesome lesson for dot day and created some amazing dot art work.
Fourth grade students used board games in the library to practice critical thinking, problem-solving, turn-taking, and having some relationship building time with their teacher, Ms. Ice, who was thinking carefully about her next move in an intense game of UNO.
Mrs. Evans, Advanced Academics, stopped into Ms. Jackson's second grade classroom to deliver a fantastic CVCe lesson. Looks like the kids are engaged and enjoying the lesson.
