This week we celebrated Autism Awareness week. Thank you to our staff and students for celebrating kindness, inclusion, and neurodiversity for our students with Autism.
Staff of the week goes to... Drum Roll... Mrs. Reyes! She consistently goes above and beyond by taking initiative and stepping in wherever support is needed without being asked. She has a natural ability to connect with students, helping them calm down and feel safe when they are upset. She comes to work prepared, positive, and ready to do whatever is needed to support both students and staff. Her dedication and heart for our students truly do not go unnoticed.
April is Autism Awareness month and our teachers worked hard to create an amazing bulletin board. We truly enjoyed celebrating kindness, inclusion, and neurodiversity for our students with Autism.

Her positivity is contagious! She shows up every day with a smile, a can do attitude, and a genuine determination to help every student succeed. Whether it’s offering extra encouragement, stepping in wherever needed, or building meaningful connections with students, she does it all with grace and care. Our students are better because of her, and our team is stronger because she is part of it.

Your balance of love and firmness shows just how deeply you care about them. Not only do you pour that care into your students, but you also extend it to the staff. Whenever someone is feeling down, you’re right there, lifting them up and making them feel special. Thank you for showing up each day with such a positive spirit!

Texas Cell Phone Law (House Bill 1481):
This law prohibits students from using personal communication devices during the school day. School districts are required to enforce disciplinary consequences for violations of this policy.
Each infraction of this policy will result in the following escalating consequences:
First offense – Device taken, returned to student at the end of the day
Second offense– Parent/ guardian must pick up the device
Third offense– $15 fine and parent/ guardian pickup required

Outside Food Policy:
Food and drink deliveries from third party services (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc) are not permitted for students. Parents/guardians may drop off lunch for YOUR CHILD ONLY. Delivering food for other students is not allowed.

She consistently differentiates her instruction to meet the needs of all her students and builds strong, meaningful relationships that help her classroom feel safe and welcoming. She is a true team player who is always willing to collaborate and support others. Most importantly, she never gives up on her struggling learners and continuously finds creative ways to help every child succeed. We are so lucky to have her on our campus!

You go above and beyond to build genuine connections with the students you serve, stepping in to help whenever and wherever you are needed most.
