March is Youth Art Month
Congratulations to the students who scored at the Expert level on their STEM fair projects! These individuals were a part of the top 13% of district participants to advance to the Alvin ISD STEM Fair. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments!
Alvin ISD junior high students who read books from the Lone Star state reading list were invited to an author event on March 1 at the Heritage Complex. Jessica S. Olson, author of A Forgery of Roses, answered student questions and signed books and/or bookmarks for each student. Students ate pizza and Jeremiah's Italian Ice, then had the opportunity to visit the Alvin ISD STEM Bus and other Makerspace stations supplied by the district librarians.

24-25 AJH Cheerleader Tryout Parent Meeting will be held February 22 at 6:00 pm in the AJH cafeteria. Parent & student attendance is required.
The Alvin ISD Book Bus needs gently used or new books to stick the bus! The book drive will be February 19 - March 7.

$5 tickets go on sale next week during all lunches for the Valentine's Dance on February 9. The dance begins altering 7th period and ends at 5:30! Concessions and pictures will be available to purchase at the dance.
