We had a GREAT Read Across America Week! We read across America twice! (1 mile = 1 minute of reading), dressed in jerseys, read in pajamas, had guest readers and read books from all parts of the US. VERY fun!





What a great Learning in Jammies Academic night! Thank you teachers for creating engaging activities for our students!

Marek students attended the first ever District Spanish Spelling Bee! So exciting!




Congratulations to this year's Campus Teachers of the Year!
Each campus selected their own Teacher of the Year and those winners are now in the running to become either the Secondary or Elementary Teacher of the Year for the district! The district winners will be announced at the Employee Recognition ceremony in May.

Mrs. Phipps taught Mrs. Solis' 3rd grade class about paired passages...her students then went to go look for a fiction and nonfiction text over the same topic! Fantastic work, Marlins!!





REMINDER: Friday, February 14 is a Teacher Professional Learning day and there is no school for students. Monday, February 17 is holiday for all students and staff.


Congratulations to 5th grader, Robindro Debroy, for representing Marek and placing 3rd at the District Spelling Bee! We are incredibly proud of how hard he worked! 🎉🎉🎉


Great author visit with our Bilingual/Dual Language students in grades PK-2 today!

Mrs. Hopson's 4th graders celebrated the 100th day of school with a scavenger hunt to find 100 equations using finger flashlights! #100thDayofSchool
