It was a privilege and honor to host LTASB on our campus this week! We appreciate the opportunity to showcase what our students are learning and how JB Hensler Career, Technology & Education is preparing them for success in both the workforce and college.
Our students put their science skills to work during a macromolecule lab, testing both food and non-food items for the presence of reducing sugars, starches, lipids, and proteins. Hands-on labs like this give students the opportunity to apply scientific concepts.

This week, our students had the opportunity to visit the Breakout Box and get an inside look at what a career in the biotechnology field can look like. Experiences like this allow students to explore career opportunities, connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
To say JBH open house was a success, would be an understatement! It was a great time for all those who came. For those who didn't, there will be many more opportunities to come and explore!
The Book Bus needs your help filling its shelves! After putting thousands of books in children hands this summer, we're ready to restock.
From Sept 21–Oct 8 families can donate gently used books in bins throughout AISD schools and participating community locations! Thank you for helping us put more books into the hands of Alvin ISD children—one book at a time!

Cosmetology II students are getting hands-on and learning professional hair removal techniques while building the skills and confidence they’ll need in the beauty industry. From classroom practice to career-ready skills, these students are putting their training into action!
Construction II is starting the year off right! Students are getting hands-on with building demos while learning proper construction techniques and best practices from Mr. Salinas. It’s all about learning by doing, building confidence, and developing the skills
Sometimes the simplest tasks can be the best test of communication, teamwork, and problem-solving! Students in Mr. Morrison’s class worked together stacking cups and building rockets as they sharpened those skills. A little teamwork today can make a BIG difference tomorrow!
