Dear Hood-Case Families, This morning, Hood-Case Elementary was evacuated due to the smell of smoke inside the kitchen area. One of the staff members extinguished a small fire in the dishwasher prior to the Fire Department arriving on scene. After a thorough evaluation, the Fire Department cleared the building for reentry. Students and staff have since returned to their classrooms, and learning has resumed as usual. Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to an amazing rest of the school day. Sincerely, Johanna Ramirez Principal, Hood-Case Elementary

We love our Hood-Case custodians! We appreciate all you do for our school! Happy Custodian Day!!

Students learn about the Mexican holiday Dia de los muertos, the ofrenda, and the offerings placed upon it for dearly departed loved ones. They made pan de muerto out of clay and sugar skulls as well. Next week they will glaze, and time permitting take a trip out to the outdoor classroom to see and learn about the kiln.

We are currently out of chocolate due to the overwhelming response! We will be getting another shipment tomorrow, so be on the lookout for more fundraising fun!!
