At last night's meeting, the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar.
The calendar was developed by the District Education Improvement Committee, a team of parents, community members, and Alvin ISD teachers. This group carefully considered state requirements, students’ instructional needs, feedback from parents and staff, and the needs of the local community and businesses while crafting the calendar.

Our 8th grade students had a great time at JB Hensley CTE building yesterday touring and learning about the options available to them as the go to High School next year.
The drill is complete. Thank you to Harby staff and students for your quick response and appropriate behavior.
HJH will be conducting a lockdown this afternoon. This is only a drill and there is no cause for alarm. We will communicate when the drill is completed.

Hello parent/guardian of an 8th grade HJH student!
Alvin High School Counselors will be at Harby JH on February 11th & 13th to help your 8th grader create their high school 4-year plan. Don't miss this opportunity to explore exciting academic and extracurricular options, set clear goals for high school success, and ask questions and get personalized advice. The last day to sign up for a time slot is Friday, February 7th.
If parents/guardians cannot attend the meeting then students will meet with a AHS Counselor to create a plan and bring it home for your review and signature.

¡Hola padre/tutor de un estudiante de octavo grado de HJH!
Los consejeros de la escuela secundaria Alvin estarán en Harby JH los días 11 y 13 de Febrero para ayudar a su hijo de octavo grado a crear su plan de 4 años para la escuela secundaria. No pierda esta oportunidad de explorar interesantes opciones académicas y extracurriculares, establecer metas claras para el éxito en la escuela secundaria, hacer preguntas y obtener asesoramiento personalizado. El último día para inscribirse en un horario es el viernes 7 de Febrero.
Si los padres/tutores no pueden asistir a la reunión, los estudiantes se reunirán con un consejero de AHS para crear un plan y llevarlo a casa para su revisión y firma.
