Alvin ISD will be hosting a TELPAS Parent Night on January 21 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at JB Hensler (7380 Lewis Ln, Manvel, TX 77578) for parents of our emergent bilingual students.
TELPAS is a required state assessment that analyzes the annual progress of emergent bilingual students and this parents meeting will discuss the process and what parents can expect.

Staff of the week goes to... Drum Roll... Mrs. Phillips! Your hard work and determination to help every student grow is evident in students' performance! Students are using strategies during their formal assessments and are excited to show you that they are understanding everything you have taught them! Thank you for being so dedicated to helping all your students achieve great things!

Mrs. Natalie Buford came to read to Ms. Torres' kindergarten class. They enjoyed having a guest reader.



We had so much fun with all of the dress up days over the last few weeks.





Ms. Duster's ELA classes worked very hard to use a reading passage and create ugly sweaters based on given criteria. This project was so fun for the students and the staff enjoyed seeing all of the creations on display. These were the winners for both classes. Congratulations to all of the students that participated.


The results are in!! We have a winner(s) for our Ugly Sweater Contest!! Drum roll........ Coming in 2nd place (a close 2nd) is Ms. Kizzy Jackson!!! Coming in 1st place is...... Ms. Tremeka Mason!! Congratulations ladies on your unique and "ugly" sweaters! Thank you to all staff that participated in the contest.
