Welcome to the Health Science program at Alvin High School

The Health Science classes offer opportunities for high school students to explore and and develop skills that may be used in future health care careers.  The courses are taught by different methodologies such as clinical rotation, dual credit, and laboratory experiences.  Our courses are designed to meet the demand for an increased number of health care providers in the future.

Teresa Luneau

Teresa Luneau 

Joined Alvin HS after serving as an athletic trainer for over 11 years and teaching health science near Austin for several years. She holds a Masters in Education and enjoys sharing what she learned to teach Health Science Theory, Medical Terminology and Principles of Health Science. Mrs. Luneau is dedicated to helping those around her to live a healthier lives. 

Dr. Michele Marquette

Dr. Michele Marquette

Joined the Alvin High School health science family six years ago, bringing with her many years of experience in research and education.  Holding a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences from UTMB, she is highly qualified to teach Medical Microbiology, Pathophysiology, and Anatomy & Physiology.  In her spare time, Dr. Marquette enjoys work with dog rescue and making T shirts.
