Welcome to Pomona Elementary!
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! My name is Stacy Huffman and I am the professional school counselor at Pomona Elementary. This is my twenty-seventh year in Alvin I.S.D. and my eighteenth year as a school counselor. Previously, I was the Counselor at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary. Prior to that, I was a Special Education teacher and a Reading Recovery teacher at Melba Passmore Elementary in Alvin, TX.
I have a Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University of Houston- Clear Lake, a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University), an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Alvin Community College, and graduated from Alvin High School.
