As our families prepare for back to school, we wanted to give a quick reminder on Alvin ISD's Cell Policy.
The district permits students to possess personal cell phone for safety purposes.
Smart watches (including Fit Bits), earbuds (including Air Pods), headphones, mobile game consoles and all other electronic devices are not permitted.
Cell phones must be remain powered off and stored away during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes.
Over the coming weeks, we'll spend some time focusing on why AISD finds it necessary to limit cell phone and smart device use during the school day.

We had a wonderful turnout tonight for our GT showcase! Our students did a wonderful job presenting their projects!
Due to the weather, all walkers will be moved to car riders today. Percussion has also been canceled today. Please make sure you have you car rider tag.
We are closely monitoring the weather. A message will be sent at 3:00 today letting you know if walkers will be moved to car riders due to the weather. If you want to go ahead and switch your child to a car rider, please call the front office by 2:45.

Our para, rookie teacher and teacher of the year were honored tonight at the Alvin ISD Employee Recognition Ceremony. NME was also awarded a campus grant to continue our One School, One Book Program! Congratulations to Ms. Smith, Mrs. Barker (not pictured) and Mrs. Burkham.
