On Thursday, Sept. 24, the FJH Library had the pleasure of hosting author Katie Kennedy, thanks to our friends at Blue Willow Bookshop. Our participating Falcons had a blast hearing about her work and visiting with her!
Mrs. Kennedy, an experienced fiction and nonfiction author for middle school and young adult readers, joined us to discuss her newest book in the Did You Hear What Happened? series, focusing on the Alamo. Her fascinating Texas history insights kept our students fully engaged, and many took home signed copies of Did You Hear What Happened at the Alamo?
To wrap up her visit, we presented Mrs. Kennedy and our student participants with their very own Special Edition Author Katie Kennedy Reading Trading Card—a huge hit with everyone!
