Our Alvin ISD A-List Reading Program is here! . It will take the place of our previous 2x2 and Bluebonnet Reading Programs.  It is an optional program for all Kindergarten - 5th grade students The reading lists consist of recommended books for student’s age levels. The books were chosen this  year by our Alvin ISD elementary librarians. The current lists for each grade level are located on our campus website under the library tab. 

Here’s how it works: 

Students will have the opportunity to check out a book from the list during their library time each week. Some of the books are also available at the public library.

1. After you and your child read the book at home your child will complete one of the information bookmarks (given to them at time of checkout). It is important that your child fill out the bookmark on their own as this gives them useful writing practice. You are, of course, welcome to help when needed. 

2. When your child has completed the bookmark please remember to sign the front. Your child will need to turn it into the library.
