About the Teacher
Hi! Welcome to my web page! My name is Cathy Hall  and  I teach music classes at Stevenson Primary. I am also delighted to teach after school piano classes at our school.  Be sure to check the Midi for Kids tab for information about after school piano!
I grew up in Alvin and graduated in 1979 from Alvin High School, where I enjoyed playing the flute and piano. As a high school student, I also had the privilege of serving as a teacher’s helper for an hour each day in a music class here at Stevenson. I attended Sam Houston State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching. At Sam Houston I  participated in the concert and marching bands. I began teaching at Stevenson in 1983 as a third grade classroom teacher. After 8 years in the classroom I changed assignments and taught special reading and math classes.  I began teaching music in the year 2000 and I love it!!  I really enjoy getting to know and teach all of our Stevenson Stars.  We love to make music!

My husband Kraig and I have three grown daughters. Our oldest daughter is married and now lives in Billings, Montana where she is a nurse.  She and her husband are the parents of our four sweet grandchildren - 2 girls and 2 boys all under 6 years.  Our middle daughter graduated from Texas A & M University (Whoop!) and is now a 3rd grade teacher in College Station, Texas.  Our youngest graduated from Texas A & M University and married  August 2017.  She and her husband are living in Dallas.  I enjoy playing my flute in the Alvin Community Band, playing the piano, traveling, canoeing and camping, sewing and crafts, gardening and teaching music at Stevenson!
