Alvin ISD's Junior High UIL competition is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th at Manvel Junior High. Registration is now open for both AVL and face-to-face students.
If you would like to try out for a position on a UIL team, please complete this form no later than Tuesday, Dec 1st!
Read the information on the form for each event carefully. For approximately half of the events(speaking and writing events), contest submissions will be completed at Manvel Junior High prior to the competition (dates and times TBD) - participants for those events will NOT need to come to Manvel Junior High on Saturday, February 27th for the competition. The other half of the events are face-to-face at Manvel Junior High on February 27th. Parents must provide transportation for students participating in UIL whether the event submission is done on campus prior to the competition or the event is held at Manvel Junior High on February 27th.
Team members will be selected (tryout or previous UIL participation), students will be notified if they are placed on a team, and coaches will contact team members the week of December 7th. Students will be provided practice options (face-to-face or virtual) and/or a GoogleClassroom code to access independent study materials.
