Darrin Andrus is in his 25th year of coaching and his 1st year at MHS.  Coach Andrus spent the last 15 years at Kempner HS and the last 11 as the head coach. Coach Andrus was previously Assistant head coach at Brazosport HS and Defensive Coordinator at Alvin HS.Coach Andrus played high school football at Dobie HS before playing at McNeese State University, where he was an All-Conference tight end as a freshman and a three-year starter as a middle linebacker.  In addition to his Bachelor's degree in Health & Physical Education, he holds a Master's degree from Texas A&M University, where he was also a graduate assistant coach for the Aggies from 1993-1996.  Coach Andrus has been married to his beautiful wife D'Ann for 17 years and has 3 daughters; Lauren, Riley, and Kendal.  Coach Andrus enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, & fishing in his spare time.
