Welcome to 5th grade Science at Hood-Case Elementary!
A little bit about me:
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education at the State University of New York College at Cortland and then high-tailed it to Texas! My husband Dan and I have now lived in The Lone Star State for 37 years! Outside of school, we are kept very busy with our family, home projects and travel.
I am currently in my 12th year teaching here at Hood-Case Elementary and feel very blessed to work with so many dedicated and compasionate educators and the wonderful families of our school. This is my sixth year teaching 5th grade science, and I enjoy it more every year!
It is my belief that every child is curious, has a desire to learn, and can learn. It is my goal to encourage curiosity, foster the love of learning as a life-long skill, and help each and every student achieve their very best. I look forward to the accomplishments of every student as they take on the adventures and challenges of 5th grade!
Your child's future depends on regular attendance and participation in school.
Please make sure your child comes to school on time every day. Class instruction begins at 8:00am. Check your child's backpack every afternoon for homework and school notes. All graded papers will be sent home in their binder every Tuesday.
