  • Hey everyone!

A little bit about me. I graduated from the University of Houston- Main Campus (Go Coogs!) with my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. I graduated in 2016 and Matthew McConaughey was my graduation speaker. My family life consists of 5 kiddos! Yep, you read that correctly, FIVE! I have kids ranging from the ages of 22 months up to 14 years old. Life is never boring at home for me.

During my time at the University of Houston, I worked for a non-profit organization called the Cougars and Houston Area Math Program. We catered to the underserved community within the Houston area by teaching students how to use their critial thinking skills to solve unconventional logic problems. We also showed them the value and importance of a college education and how to identify and achieve their goals. It was great to help shape and mold young minds and watch them grow into their untapped potential.

I am recently engaged. In addition to planning a wedding and being a full time teacher, I am also taking courses for my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction- Math Education. I am only 3 courses away from completing my degree. My family tells me that I an never sit still! Once I achieve a goal, I am onto the next! To me, it is such an amazing feeling to complete a goal that you have poured all of your hard work and effort into.

My hobbies include traveling, making latte art, finding new places to eat, yoga and biking. We just moved to a home with an immaculate garden in the backyard, so I suppose my new hobby will be to take care of all the fruit and peppers growing in our new backyard! So if you have any good gardening tips, feel free to send them my way!
