I have been in Dentistry since I was 17 years old. With a name like Shiny, being a Registered Dental Hygienist was truly my destiny! Having a life-changing dental experience myself, I have dedicated my life to impacting others through dentistry and healthcare.  My passion for life and helping others are what drove me to start a career in education.  

Ever since I was a health occupations student in high school, it has been a dream of mine to educate and inspire students.  My health occupations class impacted my entire life through my career, and I am honored to pass that knowledge to the next generation of dental and healthcare professionals.

The reason behind MY huge and genuine smile is my husband of 19 years and our two beautiful blessings, Josiah and Joah. I enjoy crafting, sewing, reading and traveling the world...especially visiting my extended family in colorful and exotic India!
