Biography:

Ms. Chapman teaches Veterinary Assistant Level 1 at J.B. Hensler. This will be her 9th year teaching agriculture science and her 3rd year at Alvin ISD. She was heavily involved in FFA and 4-H in High School and earned her American FFA Degree. While in high school she was on the horse judging team and had multiple SAE projects that included showing horses, breeding rabbits, and market rabbits. Ms. Chapman graduated from Sam Houston State University where she majored in animal science and has a minor in equine science. During college Ms. Chapman was a veterinary technician at small animal veterinary clinics and was a member of the SHSU Beef Cattle Show Team and the SHSU Ranch Horse Team. After college she completed an internship at Granada Farms. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son, training dogs, showing her horse, and showing her breeding rabbits. Ms. Chapman is very excited to be at Alvin ISD and hopes to share her passion for agriculture and veterinary medicine with her students.
