Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Gloria Vest
Welcome! I am proud to be part of the Stevenson Primary Family! The 2019-20 school year will be my first year teaching and I am excited to be your child's teacher. I worked as a long term substitute as a Kindergarten teacher at Stevenson during the last nine weeks of the 2018-19 school year and enjoyed the experience immensely.
Before coming to the teaching world, I worked in the legal field for over 20 years as a legal secretary/paralegal/administrative assistant. I have always wanted to teach, so I decided to finish my education, work towards my teaching certification, and started substitute teaching. I have a B.S. in Business Management as well as a M.S. in Management and Leadership from Western Governors Univeristy.
My husband and I met while attending Alvin High School. After graduation, we married, and he joined the Army. After my husband's military service ended, we returned to Alvin to raise our family. All three of our sons also graduated Alvin High School. Our son Chris is a Marine veteran as well. We have four grandchildren (two girls and two boys). In our free time we love to travel and spend time with our family.
My goal is to help your child develop a life long love of learning AND to make learning fun for them!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
