Hello, I am excited to welcome all new Cosmetology I & II students to my class.

This will be my fifth teaching year at JB Hensler College and Career Academy. I am an Industry Expert with nearly 33 years of experience, which includes both behind the chair work and salon ownership. There is no doubt in my mind that I was destined to teach. 

I have a driving passion to encourage young people to reach their full learning potential. I believe an "engaged student" is curious, interested, and optimistic in their educational collaboration with their teachers, school advisors, and peers. The past school year of 2021-2022 my students excelled beyond measure, landing 14 Cosmetology Operators Licenses issued by the State of Texas. Many of them are now working in the Alvin/Manvel/Pearland/Missouri City communities as professional stylists, nail techs, waxing techs, and lash technicians.

My goal is to design exercises and projects that challenge the students and force them to think outside of the box. The classroom climate and culture are very important to me, as I would like my students to feel safe and secure within their environment.
