Hello! I have been teaching since 2010 and could not be happier to start the 2020 school year off here at Nelson Elementary! I previously taught 4th grade at Bill Hasse Elementary in Alvin ISD. Before that, I worked in Clear Creek ISD teaching 4th and 5th grade. This year I will be teaching 3rd grade for the first time! I am excited to have a self-contained classroom and teach ALL subjects!

I am married and have a daughter who will start kindergarten next school year here at Nelson! I have three cats named Miss Kitty, Little Bill, and Little Blue Truck and a new puppy named Tucker. I love my family very much and there is nothing better than spending time at home with them! You will surely hear me talk about my experiences at the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network where I have been volunteering since 2011. Most recently, we have been working to rehabilitate a 3 month old dolphin named, Trooper. 

My favorite hobbies are gardening and crafting. I love to make decorations for parties or beautiful pieces of jewelry. I have had more time than usual to take care of my garden, so my flowers are extra happy this year! I love coffee, shopping, eating delicious food, Harry Potter, and all kinds of other fun and fantastical stories! My husband and I enjoy dressing up for the Renaissance Festival and Halloween. I love playing card games, board games, and yes, even video games!
