Benjamin Adams Muths is serving his third year as Head Band Director at Manvel Junior High, and his ninth year of teaching. Prior to joining the Manvel Junior High Band, Mr. Muths was an Assistant Band Director at Manvel High School, Kempner High School and Sugar Land Middle School. Mr. Muths is responsible for conducting the Symphonic Band, as well as supporting his colleagues in rehearsals and in logistical planning. Mr. Muths is also responsible for teaching beginner trombone, trumpet, french horn, bassoon and oboe.

Mr. Muths holds a bachelor degree in Music Education from the University of Houston. He was a member of the Moores School of Music Wind Ensemble, which was invited to The Midwest Clinic in 2012. He was also a member of the Moores School of Music Bassoon Studio, as well as the Spirit of Houston Marching Band. In the summer of 2009, Mr. Muths marched with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps as a member of the Cymbal Line. Mr. Muths is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association. 

Mr. Muths enjoys spending time with family, golfing, practicing graphic design, and playing video games. He has a wonderful wife (Leigh) and two sons - Gavin (4) and Grant (1).
