Welcome to my webpage!
My name is Meagan Gormly. I am a lifetime resident of Alvin, TX. I attended Alvin Primary School as a child and graduated in Alvin High School in 1995, which makes me 40. During my college career at the University of Houston, I decided to make my love of learning my occupation and earned my degree in Elementary Education. The first 8 years of my career was spent in Alief ISD teaching first grade. I came back home, in 2007, to Alvin ISD and just completed my 10th year here. I am excited to start my 19th year of teaching!!! I have taught both first and second grades. This year, I will be on a new advendture and working as a Special Education Resource Teacher.
I am married and have two boys: Harrison who is 11 and Graham who is 8. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. During my years at the University of Houston I was a member of the marching band; so come football season I'm following my COOGS! I also enjoy running, walking, and bike riding. I also taught my self to crochet last Summer, I always have a project. My family also enjoys RVing and seeing different parts of Texas. Our family is active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and we spend a lot of time with Pack 400 and Troop 400, where I am a committee chair for the pack and an assistant scoutmaster for the troop. My oldest son, Harrison, loves to bowl, so we spend a lot of time at the Alvin Bowling Center. Graham is my baseball player, so we also spend a lot of time at Lions Park on the ball field.
