Who is Mrs. Denson?

I joined the Alvin Junior High math team in 2008. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematical Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake,
along with math certifications for grades 4-8 and 8-12.

My family and I live in Rosharon, and all three of my children graduated from Alvin High School. My oldest (daughter-Ryen) works as a loan officer at a local credit union, and is pursuing an accounting degree. My second oldest (son-Brandon) is persuing a process technology degree while working as a full-time mechanic. My youngest (son-Chris) just graduated from Alvin High School. I also have two of the most adorable grandsons, Jace and Carter. Woo Hoo! 

Born and raised a Texan, I have lived in various areas around the Houston
Metropolitan area, including two years in Alvin. When I am not teaching, I enjoy
spending time with my family, refinishing furniture, and READING anything I can get my hands on.

My Goal for this Year

My goal is to create a comfortable, yet challenging learning environment for all students,which encourages students to accomplish things they
once believed was beyond their grasp, by promoting life-long learning skills, curiosity, problem-solving skills, risk-taking, and pride of ownership.
