Kara Corona, BSN, RN
Hello, and welcome! My name is Kara Corona, the nurse here at Pomona Elementary. I love being a school nurse and cannot wait to see our students face to face again.
Just a reminder, please let me know if your students have any health issues that I need to be aware of: asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies to foods or medications, ADHD, eczema, etc. If you need to drop off medications for your child, please bring them in the original medication bottle with the prescription label still on it. All medications must be brought in and picked up by a parent or guardian. Please see the School Health Services link below to access the necessary forms for medications.
Please send a change of clothing for your students in a Ziplock bag in case they have an accident, spill food or drink on their clothes, fall in the mud, have a nosebleed, etc. Clothing donations are always accepted as well for the clinic. Please make sure to wash masks daily so we can prevent the spread of germs. Especially during warm weather, our students shouldn't need sweaters, but if your student MUST have a sweater, please make sure to rotate them out so that they wear a clean one each day.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to getting to know you all this school year!
Here is my virtual clinic! You can click on the links for more information on each topic. Please have your student watch the video (linked on the computer screen) to prepare for the upcoming school year.
